Learn to look after yourself and put yourself first; don’t see it as being selfish, see it as ‘Self Care’

I meet so many people who always put everyone else's needs first, they exist solely to make everyone else happy and it isn't healthy.

If you don't take care of yourself, you can't take care of anyone else. You're just as important as anyone else on the planet so why shouldn't you take some time for you to do the things you enjoy?

Happiness is doing more of the things that make you happy and less of the things that don’t!

So at least once a day, take 15 minutes for you, have a break and do something you enjoy. If you can make it longer - even better, maybe once a week have yourself an hour, or once a month, a day just for you. Do something you really enjoy and something that makes you feel good. Sounds great doesn't it, but I bet you are already feeling guilty just thinking about it! Lose the guilt, it's a wasted emotion, feeling guilty is about as useful as a rocking horse, it gives you something to do but gets you nowhere.
